4.6.6 Byte and Character Output

• ref-iou-cou-cha: Writing Bytes and Characters
• ref-iou-cou-nln: New Line
• ref-iou-cou-fou: Formatted Output

The byte and character output operations are:

• writing (putting) bytes and characters
• creating newlines and tabs
• flushing buffers
• formatting output.

Please note: The note about “tty-” predicates at the beginning of ref-iou-cin applies here as well.
